From the beginning, we decided to build Spiral Studios with the land… and not compete against it or abuse it. We in fact believe that the land and surroundings of the retreat centre is a major draw and source of inspiration, so we seek to care for the environment around our camp as much as possible.
We work with natural materials found throughout the landscape to realize our project. 95% of the construction on Spiral Studios so far has been done purely with natural resources found around the property.
We plan to run entirely off-grid, and even sustain the recording studio with renewable resources such as solar, wind, and water-turbine power. This is an incredibly important part of the project, and we want Spiral Studios to be as ecologically friendly as possible.
When the land offers us so much… shouldn’t we respect the land, and offer it what we can?
